Working on reclaimed wood, fine art boards, and found surfaces, Theresa creates one-of-a-kind mixed media art for the home, office, and other spaces. Each piece offers a whimsical composition inspired by the colors, shapes, patterns, and cycles of the natural world alongside other inspiration drawn from life. Theresa’s process includes creating original papers through linocut printing, gel printing, additive monoprinting, and other transfer processes alongside digital photography and imaging. Using the forms, patterns, and unique characteristics that unfold through the paper-making processes as a base, she then engages in visual journaling and collage techniques, drawing, painting, and layering a variety of found materials and ephemera to uncover the final composition. Like her creative scholarship and digital collage works, Theresa’s mixed media art process is intuitive and organic.
